一、 教学重点
Help the students master the new words and phrases:
serious, mirror, in fact, break, the same as, be different from.
2. Practice reading skill: finish the tasks by reading the passages.
三、教学难点:
To express their own ideas about if friends should be the same or not, and try to give their own reasons.
四、教学过程设计
Step 1: Lead-in
1.T:Have a brain-teaser: What kind of ship never sinks ?

设计意图:通过谜题导入新课,抓住学生的兴趣点,吸引学生的注意力。
Step 2:Pre-reading:
Free talk (2a.Using rhe comparative forms of the words to help you .)
①Who's your best friend?
②What are the differences between you and your friend?
③.Should friends be the same or different?
设计意图:旨在将2a任务和导课话题联系起来,先完成2a,再运用2a的词语进行free talk,目的在于教学内容的连贯性和流畅性。

Fast reading :
Task1:Listen and underline the comparative words and phrases in the passages.
Task2:Read the passages quickly again and match the person with the right ideas.
设计意图:训练快速阅读的技巧,通过快读把握大意。
Careful reading :
Task3:1. Read Passage 1, choose the right answer.

Task5:Read Passage 3, finish the task below:
翻译①处句子:A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
将② 处句子“In fact, she’s funnier than anyone I know.”改成同义句。
设计意图:此处是模仿中考题型:任务型阅读理解题型设计的两个题,既为了抠出难点,也为了中考题型在常规教学中的训练。

设计意图:全文将重点短语挖空,给汉语提示,让学生根据汉语提示完成文章填空。是为了感知全文,也为了突出本节课重点单词短语。
Step 4:Post-reading:
Pairwork:2e:Which saying about friends is your favorite?Which friend do you think about when you read this saying?Talk about her or him (choose one in our class) in group by using the comparative, and then the others guess :Who is he/she?
设计意图:让学生使用比较级自由讨论,一是为了达成目标语言运用的教学目标,而是为了让学生达成“生成”的教学目标。
Step5:Let’s think :
What do you think is important in a friendship?
设计意图:情感升华,让学生明白真正的朋友应该具备的品质,进而在人生中慎交友,交益友。
Step6: Summary

设计意图:在于巩固复习本节课的内容,和难点的训练。
六.板书设计:
设计意图:本课由一个谜语“friendship”导入,全文围绕友谊进行“讨论-阅读-讨论”,因此最后板书生成一艘友谊小船,帆上面的旗帜上是话题“friendship”,帆上是真的友谊需要的品质,船体上是本节课达成的情感态度。再加之两片云是本节课的“key points”,形成一幅“人生拥有真正的朋友,才能行地远”的意境,即将本课重点知识点和情感态度都体现了出来。
