     a: To help students realize that school life is fun and interesting because of various activities carried out.

     b: To build stronger friendship by taking part in the same activity and sharing happy moments.

Ability objectives: To encourage students to talk about their school activities and learn to write a note of invitation.

Teaching procedures:

I. Lead-in

Free talk: (review the previous lesson about school activities and brainstorm more. (Write down the activities that we have at our school.)

II.Contents

1. 3a. Finish the note with the words in the box and analyze the structure and learn it as sample writing.

2. 3b. Compose a possible version. Ask students what elements should be included in a note of invitation. (A framework is laid on the blackboard as a guide writing to the students.)

3. Additional information (Introduce some useful expressions.)

4. Let students write their own articles with the guidance given.

III.Presentation

  Choose some students to read their writings to the whole class and the others give comments and opinions. The teacher summarizes students’ writing practice and gives constructive suggestions so that they may revise afterwards.

IV.Homework

  Revise the writing afterwards and transcribe it to the formal exercise book.
